Did you know that Sixteenfifty has an award winning TV commercial production unit? And they got the t-shirts and awards to prove it.
http://duckduckpoodle.com/
At its core Duck Duck Poodle is a commercial production wing of Sixteenfifty Advertising, but its also so much more. Founded over the years working with Hospitality, Restaurant and Casino clients Duck Duck Poodle is a creative assault team.
What we mean by this is simple. Were a commercial production company that brings to the table years of experience from working in the advertising/marketing world (don’t worry, we don’t charge extra for it). What that means for you is that we will work with any idea big or small, and turn it into something gnarly, something worth talking about, something worth the time and money you spent bringing it to life.
The process will be a bit different, but the results will be honest and compelling. Making you question how such a level of imagination (imagination may not be the right word for it) was ever reached. Or if it was even legal.

And just in case you doubted the awards or the t-shirts. Here is our bikini security guard protecting our bragging rights.

Lets face(book) it, everyone is doing it. All brands are flocking to social media, if they haven’t already, they must not have television or something called the “internet”. But just because your present on any of the social media sites, doesn’t necessarily mean that you are actively participating and giving an added value. There is no set rule book yet for social media, but consumers all know who is sweet or weak. And if your brand wants to be sweet, one of the key essential factors on social media is to listen.
Speaking of listening, the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas an avid social media tycoon, was looking for a way to get more people connected with their social media life streams. So we developed a social media aggregator where visitors to the Hard Rock Hotel’s website can view up to the minute updates from all there social media sites. So not only can you now book a room, you can also jump over to the social hub and see what celebrity just got spotted, the latest concert pics, and event happenings. The following is what you can see at the Hard Rock Hotels Social hub;
Aggregates 3 of the Hard Rock Hotels twitter accounts
Uploads pictures from their flickr fan page
Updates on breaking news and press releases
View their youtube videos
And links to facebook, imeem, and myspace pages
So check it out and listen in. http://www.hardrockhotel.com/social/

KAKAW!
PUT ON YOUR COOL CLOTHES AND PRACTICE YOUR CHIN SCRATCHING.
La Jolla’s most secretive art gallery, Ed, will open it doors once again (F the recession) on Friday, October 23th. The exhibit “KAKAW!” (that’s bird speak
for “what’s up”) is the first solo show by local artist Dion Terry. The show will showcase Dion’s recent focus on the bird and its characteristics, juxtoposing the
wildlife against his “wild-style” grafitti style. If you ask us, Dion just loves birds and peyote. But don’t let the show’s flashy theme or the showy La Jolla zip code
intimidate you, there will be no generic oil paintings exhibited and you’ll probably have fun.
About the Gallery:
Ed Gallery is the creative outlet for Sixteenfifty Brand Strategy/Advertising/Design which is based here in La Jolla and Las Vegas. The gallery was created
for Sixteenfifty & Friends to do “whatever they want” with the place. The off-beat ambiance emulated in this La Jolla studio/gallery is hard to find on
the surrounding streets. Just head up the alley (next to Don Carlos Taco Shop (ryan you owe us a taco)) and look for the (r)ed carpet and velvet ropes right next
to the Asian restaurant’s dumpsters. If it smells like yellow curry, then you found it. Up the fire escape you will find La Jolla’s sweetest art gallery, Ed.
With it’s alley entrance and the front window art designed by the owners (then) 1 year old daughter “Ed” (who is the namesake to the gallery),
its definitely the new kid on the block and maybe soon to be off the block.
At least there will be fine wine, bird food and music.
About the Artist:
DION TERRY I hail from Fort Defiance, AZ which is located on the Navajo Nation. I have been creating art my entire life with
no technical training or professional schooling in the area of painting with acrylics. But with this series of paintings I
decided to start out with juxtaposing wildlife and “wild-style” graffiti. But eventually I turned my focus primarily
on the bird and it’s characteristics.

Our friend @valerotti wizard of all things social media and events, asked us to do some cards for him. So we said yes of course, we will do anything for a couple props tweets on twitter (5 to be exact). We kept the cards design simple, along with a nice card stock we used his twitter name @valerotti name as the focus point, since that is his bread and butter and lets face it everyone is doing it. We also integrated the forward slash into the card because of @valerotti web presence. If your still reading this far, we basicly wanted to make a sweet card. So check out @valerotti here if you want to see what a social media guru is up to, and of course let him know how sweet his cards are.

Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas asked us to do a photo shoot of their new South Tower Room. So we did, and in Sixteenfifty Fashion took it one step further. Watch the stop motion video of what could happen when you have an empty room, a rock and roll maid and no one watching. Only at the Hard Rock.

The award-winning KITCHEN 1540 took over the prestigious James Beard House in NYC for a fund-raising dinner back in March. KITCHEN’s Executive Chef Paul McCabe developed a special 5 course menu just for the event. We tagged along and filmed it all because, well, it seemed fun and we heart NY. Take a gander…but be forewarned that you’ll probably leave hungry since the food was out of this world good.
Need another reason to watch? Chef Paul was just named “Crush of the Year” by Riviera, so he’s pretty easy on the eyes. That said, he’s a happily married man. Sorry, ladies!

Were healthy and hot and ready to sign you up. A great opportunity to make some extra cash in this global recession.
