Welcome to Cirrus Lounge, above it all in the territory of the clouds.
Stratosphere asked us to envision what was next for their lounge on the 107th floor (currently named the Romance Lounge) and this was our recommendation. We named this place, developed the brand and served as the interior designers. To us, this re-do modernized the place and made it a bit more accessible. It’s the perfect place for a casual drink, an evening of cocktails and a view (oh, the view).
Diego Stocco is incredible. He composed a sweet piece of music from a tree. A TREE. Better yet, he TUNED the tree with a pencil sharpener. Now that’s impressive.
Diego, our hats are off to you and we can’t wait to see what you play next…
We think that sometimes you just gotta get out and try something new. So, today, we tried a new place for cake. It was a lovely La Jolla afternoon and it was time for our caffeine fix and, well, you can only go to Starbucks so many times before it takes all the fun out of coffee. So off to Michele Coulon Dessertier we went. We’d never been, though it’s only one small block from the office.
And, we ate cake. It was delicious. We recommend you go and have some, too. Not local? Well, then…find a cake place and just go! It makes Monday a glorious day. Or really any day for that matter.
Our assignment: create a welcome kit for a social media company. make it sweet. no mousepads.
Our answer: “Welcome to the team.” A kit based off of the perennial favorite college sport: Ultimate Frisbee. I mean, c’mon, we know they all played. And, don’t lie, you did too. The kit included a T, a water bottle (gotta stay hydrated), a sticker and a sweet multi-sticker sheet. Even better, it was all recycled. And the best part: it was fun and entirely memorable. We just got ours in the mail and we immediately hit the streets….see the video for Guerilla Marketing 101.
Robert Earl Couture is back! After many emails, phone calls, tweets and smoke signals were back in action. Ok not really, most of you probably didn’t even know we were gone. Now who’s falt is that? At least somebody missed us. The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas has requested an exclusive order of our Robert Earl Couture Limo tread tees. Each tee is different, each tee is signed and each tee is ran over by our very own limo. We only made 78 of these bad boys so were hoping they wont last. Check back for pics and video of our live window display at the Hard Rock retail store, should be badass……See more of Robert Earl Couture at www.robertearlcouture.com
oh, we love new things. LOVE. Today we learned to make things mini as evidenced by the photo below.
We started with a beautiful shot taken by Rouse and Spouse from the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas (talk about a view, eh?). We then put to use our new “tilt-shift effect,” which we learned about from Receding Hairline (love the name - and the tutorial, thanks!), and it teaches you how to use any photo with a downward perspective and make it look mini with just a few steps in Photoshop. Just like that. Today, we made a baseball stadium mini, Vegas mini and a skyscraper mini, too.
You wanna go mini? Just let us know…we’re here to help.
The Stratosphere’s Observation Deck is the place to take in all of Las Vegas. It’s a must do for visitors from all around the world. And, right now, while the view is spectacular the space itself is nothing to write home about. So, we took a stab at refreshing this most famous of famous Vegas landmarks and looked to re-create the Observation Deck as a hub of information for visitors. We used the simplicity of a newspaper with a pop of yellow to “highlight” some key elements of the observation process and the guest’s experience. The total package brings back a bit more fun to the Observation Deck…and makes the view out just as sweet as tehe view in. We hope to see it come to life sometime soon…
Last week Sixteenfifty and company led by the bonnet wearing creative director Rob Wells, conducted a calender photo shoot for the Girls of Rehab, which is the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas’ weekly mega pool party. With 25mph winds, 120 degree heat and 18 bikini clad girls the photo shoot provided plenty of drama for the TV cameras (not to mention we shot it all in 2 days!). The photo shoot will air on this seasons reality TV show “Rehab” which shows on the TRU network. So if you missed the Sixteenfifty live steam on the web you can view a couple clips here http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sixteenfifty Otherwise enjoy some behind the scene pics, and look out for the mucho caliente calender coming very soon.
